A warm and hearty welcome to the city of East Haven, Connecticut, site of then 13^th Annual CT TKD Open Championship. The 2011 Championship is more than a competition; it is an event and promotion as well! 

LaJust TKD Electronic Gear for the 2011 CT TKD Open Championship is to uphold a level of expertise as an Olympic sport. Our tournament will consist of groups in forms, board breaking, Electronic sparring, Junior Flying Side Kick Contest, Weapon and Team demo competition.

As you may have seen or if you are new to our tournament, we strive to continue to improve the environment, competition and opportunities for all competitors. So, by following our mission, these are some of the things to look for at this year’s Competition,

Goals We Are Planning To Accomplish:

     1.  High Quality Organized Competition

             Over 20 Certified referee certified by USAT and WTF and Masters has at least 4th Dan from

             WTF (World Taekwondo Federation) and over 40 high rank volunteers on six matted courts

     2.  Electronic Sparring Gear Sponsored by Lajust Sports America Inc.

             All sparring courts will use electronic sparring equipment by LaJust which is only one

             brand recognized by WTF and will use for 2012 London Olympic Games and

             in most TaeKwonDo Competition

    3. Team Demo Competition

             Eight teams participated in 2009, 2010 and Awarded Trophies for all teams

    4. Large Facilities

             Two Separate Gyms (One for Main Event, One for waiting and warming up area) 

             New and Clean Cafeteria (Max 200 people)

    5. Special Event

            Weapons Contest for All ages

            Children/Junior Flying Side Kick Contest(by belt and height)

Also, this is great tournament for beginners and advance competitors! We have over

250 competitors at last year competitions and 100% rate of 4 or more competitors

per division for competitions.
