Jim Rutushni-PMP (email ), 63 years of age, 1st degree Black Belt, has been training at WCT Branford with Master Han for some four years and has won many gold medals in Connecticut Taekwondo competitions. Jim became interested in the martial arts back in the early 1980’s. For some time, he also studied locally Judo, Taekwondo, Shotakan and Tia chi. Jim is retired from the State of Connecticut after working over 10 years as a Certified Project Manager (PMP). Jim began his professional career with the Southern New England Telephone Company (SNET), and remained there for 30 years, working as an Senior Internal Auditor, Accounting Manager, Information Technology Manager and Project Manager. For a period of time, Jim worked for Yale University as a Security Officer. He currently is a catechism instructor St. Elizabeth’s Church in Branford and is a Eucharistic Minister and volunteer at Connecticut Hospice Branford. Jim served several years as a Branford’s Shell Fish Commissioner and also on Branford’s Information Technology review committee. In addition, Jim completed four years active duty in the US Navy – on USS Saratoga as an Aviation Electrician – flight deck trouble shooter and six years in the US Army Reserve in the 344th Military Police. In the 1960’s Jim was a student at LaSalette Seminary in Cheshire majoring in priesthood preparation studies. Jim then attended University of New Haven in the 1970's for 10 years night school studding for his Bachelor Degree in Industrial Engineering and then attended Gateway Technical College graduating high honors with an Associates Degree in Data Processing in 1990's. Also in the 1990's Jim completed his certified testing for his Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) from Project Management Institute. www.pmi.org
