Master Jeong, Ridgefield
Master Jeong (email) is a fifth degree black belt and holds a Bachelors degree in Physical Education with a Tae Kwon Do major from Kyung Hee University. He also holds a Masters degree in Secondary Physical Education from Dong Kuk University. While in university he issued a thesis titled 'The influence of children who learned Tae Kwon Do versus the children that didn't.' His research found that children who participated in Tae Kwon Do had a better a sense of self-esteem and respect versus the children that didn't learn Tae Kwon Do. Master Jeong was one of the top athletes in Korea, having won over 15 gold medals at national and international competitions. One of these gold medals was at the 2002 Yeo-Su Tae Kwon Do World Championships. Master Jeong was a professional Tae Kwon Do competitor for the most prestigious professional team in Korea (Kogas Gas Company) from 2002-2004. He was also member of the Korean national team in 2001.
